Jamaican Man Sentenced to 20 Months in Antigua for Illegal Firearm Possession; Companion Deported

The Jamaican man, Riccardo McKenzie, 28, was sentenced to 20 months in prison in Antigua after pleading guilty to illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Authorities discovered a loaded 9mm pistol and seven rounds in a vehicle he was traveling in with O’Neil Swaby, a 34-year-old fellow Jamaican.

While both men were initially arrested, McKenzie took the blame.

Swaby was deported the next day.

  5. So hear this we are outraged about this man getting 20 months for having 1 gun and ammunition.
    A few weeks ago the owner of road house got 12 months for having 3 GUNS and ammunition……..
    Our justice system is messed up….
