McKenzie was arrested on August 19 while traveling with fellow Jamaican O’Neil Swaby, 34, who was also found with a 9-mm handgun.

McKenzie later pleaded guilty, resulting in a prison term of up to one year and eight months, while charges against Swaby were dropped, leading to his immediate deportation.

The All Saints Magistrate’s Court, District B, approved the Immigration Department’s request to deport McKenzie once his sentence is served.

  1. Time to open a database with facial recognition for our Immigration Department so as to nab deportees who get name changes and false passports in order to return to our shores after a deportation has been effected.

  2. Majority of these ofenders are either Jamaicans or are licked to Jamaicans. With that being said the authorities need to take a good look into that.

  3. Remember, when you travel/come to work/live on this beautiful island behave yourself … or get out!!!

Great work by the Immigration Department (credit where credit is due to Katrina Yearwood, I’ve been one of her harshest critics in the past) and also the judiciary on this deportation order.

MORE ACTION LIKE THIS PLEASE …✊🏾

  4. No surprise there. We must adopt a zero tolerance approach to non nationals who betrays our trust, our welcome and our hospitality and get involved in criminal activity. Antiguans and Barbudans are subjected to the same rules when they run afoul of any country’s laws. It is so important to respect and adhere to your hosts laws such that you can continue to enjoy and savor their hospitality. So after serving at the behest of His Majesty, it is back to Kingston you go.

  5. He will be back bcos Antigua has so many boat operators who for the right amount will go and pick him and others up from Dominica or elsewhere and bring dem to ANTIGUA

JAMAICANS coming into ANTIGUA need a better through finger printing police letter and show PROFF who and where they will be staying and show at least $5000 usd

How you coming on vacation and have no monies to enter the country

If visiting the job letter address of that person before ANY entry is granted

As a matter of fact ALL Jamaicans need to leave Antigua and without our pport either and the wutliss gyals who entertain dem can go with them too
