It took police more than a year to charge cops with rape

Fifteen months after the alleged rape victim reported the offense to the police, charges against the two police officers have finally been made.

The Public Relations arm of the police force did not say why it took so long.

The Two Police Constables who were accused of raping a 19-year-old female in May of 2017 in the Five Islands area. 

The 19 year old alleged that she was held at gunpoint by the officers and forced to perform sexual acts.

The complainant also alleged that the officers, who are known to her, struck her in the face and threatened to kill her if she reported the matter to the police or anyone else.

At the time of the incident, the victim reported she stopped fighting back after the officers brandished a gun and threatened her life.

The delay is expected to further shake public’s confidence in police officers to investigate their own.

  1. All police officers are not the same so why should we keep away from them?? Some of y’all are so negative its not funny!!! Every island has good & bad.
