Prime Minister Gaston Browne, who is already in Barbuda, has reported to the NEOC that there has been one fatality so far in Barbuda.
He is also reporting that there is widespread damage.
The National Office of Disaster Services says a complete assessment is on the way and further details are being worked out at this time.
