After visiting French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Saint Lucia, the Interreg CINUCA project team is coming to Antigua.
The project leader: the Association for the Promotion of Cinema In the Antilles and French Guiana (APCAG), its partner in Antigua: HamaFilms, along with the other partners of the project are pleased to inform you of the formal presentation of the Interreg CINUCA Project in Antigua, on Tuesday the 26th of April 2022, at 10 a.m, at the Hotel Hawksbill by Rex Resorts, Gray’s Farm Main Rd, Five Islands village, in Antigua.
This presentation is especially geared towards professionals of archiving, cultural heritage, cinema and audiovisual.
Interreg CINUCA is a collaborative project supported by APCAG and its partners: EPCC Tropiques Atrium Scène Nationale (Martinique), the association Guyane-Cinéma Audiovisuel et Multimédia (G-CAM-Guyane) (French Guiana), Lee Productions Inc. (Saint Lucia), and HamaFilms (Antigua and Barbuda).
The project aims to build a network of regional partners ; key players working to safeguard the Caribbean film and audiovisual heritage, and to further structure it into a digital dissemination industry.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg Caribbean V Programme.
One of the project’s main objectives is the implementation of a 100% online digital cinematheque: A cinematheque or film library is an institution in charge of the preservation and restoration of the audiovisual heritage and its dissemination to wider audiences.

This event will be the opportunity to present the Interreg CINUCA project, meet the territory’s key players and plan the next actions leading to the implementation of the project in Antigua and Barbuda.
