Indian fugitive Mehul Choksi is a registered voter in Antigua and Barbuda, Prime Minister Gaston Browne revealed over the weekend.

Browne was speaking on the Browne and Browne radio show, responding to reports that Choksi held a meeting towards funding the main Opposition United Progressive Party. The UPP denies the allegations. Listen to Browne here.

  3. Mehul Choksi is exercising his rights as a Citizen of Antigua and Barbuda.Just hoping that all who are qualified to register, do so. Then when the Election is called, you vote them out.

    • And Choksi was always a citizen of Antigua and Barbuda even when the government was working overtly and covertly to get him back to India without due process of law
