The observance will take place on that date since November 1, Antigua and Barbuda’s official Independence Day, falls on a Saturday this year.
According to the Public Holidays (Amendment) Act of 2019, when November 1 falls on a weekend, the following Monday is declared a public holiday.

All official Independence activities, including the ceremonial parade and national food fair, will therefore be held on November 3.
Further details on the venue and programme for the 44th Independence celebrations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Jokers abound. Wasn’t this know from the get go. Even some one on this portal had flagged it.
Hope when it’s on a Sunday the same is extended with all fair ness
That is what the LAW stipulates!!1 Did you not READ it? You just came to run off your mouth?
Wonder how the Festivals Commission and its Chairman feeling? They really put their “foots” in their mouths.
They catering for the Adventist? What double standards. They aren’t supposed to be party of worldy events in any case.
No!!! They are following the LAW!
In line with the Public Holidays (Amendment) Act, No. 23 or 2019, specifically in relation to Independence Day; which reads that “When the first day of November falls on a Saturday or Sunday the following Monday shall be a public holiday and on that day shall be held all the official acts and activities in celebration of the anniversary of Independence.
Those are the facts. It has nothing to do with who is a badventist, a jehovahwickedness, a cathoalcoholic etc. The law is the law. But then again even when some ah ah you get facts your wharped mind still thinks and conspire differently.
