The former Rex Halcyon property has undergone a remarkable transformation, now considered among the finest in the Caribbean.
Browne commended the property’s amenities, comparable to those of top-tier hotels worldwide. He emphasized its role in enhancing Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism sector, aiming for high-end offerings.
As finance minister, Browne anticipated significant revenue boosts from the hotel, translating into increased government earnings for public services. He highlighted improved wages for staff and the property’s contribution to the country’s luxury tourism image.
Expressing enthusiasm for the tourism industry’s upscale evolution, Browne lauded Royalton executives for their vision. He predicted the hotel’s status as a premier Caribbean destination, offering exceptional value.
The completed construction readies the property for its inaugural guest on April 29th. Boasting multiple restaurants, bars, pools, suites, and exclusive services, Royalton Chic anticipates over 500 employees during peak periods, showcasing a substantial investment in Antigua’s tourism future.
