Exemption from Work Permits

The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has determined that applicants for Amnesty under the Immigration and Passport (Amendment) Act, No. 9 of 2022, are not required to apply for work permits whilst their applications are being processed.

This exemption ceases to have effect once an application for amnesty has been denied. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATS APP GROUP

  1. Finally something rewarding because most employer don’t want to sign new work permit, even thought one might have been in the country LEGALLY over 10yrs.. I really welcome this.

  2. Vote Catcher
Encourages employers to employ amnesty-track individuals… Hopefully not instead of Antiguans

    • Everyone has to eat….when we travel to other people’s country we do n expect the same we work there so why can’t they not work here?

  3. I have a quick question. So if you have been granted amnesty, and your applications being process, can you work in Antigua without a work permit. Cause I’m ready to work.!!!

    • So what about those who put in for their citizenship,so we can pay for work permit until we get a call from the Labour department…. because I already pay my processing fee…

  4. There are some legitimate cases for amnesty. However, it should not be used to influence politically.
