The streets of the usually quiet Sunday Afternoon atmosphere in and around St. John’s were filled with sounds of music, chanting and vibrant footsteps all for a worthy cause.

A cause that has brought at time sadness, triumph and much introspection for loved ones, family, and friends who have been or are being affected by cancer.

The Ministry’s Health and the Environment World Cancer Day Walk/Rally yesterday attracted a huge crowd who walked, jogged or danced their way into the city all the way from Marble Hill road.

This activity was designed to raise awareness about the much talked about disease and the importance of prevention and early detection.
