ORTHWRIGHT MARSHALL – CELEBRATING HIS LIFE AND LEGACY On behalf of the UPP Branch of St. Mary’s South, I express deepest condolences to the family of Corthwright Marshall.
He was a passionate leader and advocate and through his talents, knowledge and vision, he inspired many in our community.
While we mourn the loss of a colleague, we celebrate a life that was well lived.
He was deeply committed to the advancement of the people and the development of our nation and leaves behind a legacy of dedication and accomplishment.
Through his decorum and grace he endeared himself to many and will be remembered as an affable, dedicated statesman.
Life can be fleeting, but a life lived in service to others will remain in our fondest memories.
This is a particularly difficult and painful time for his family and friends and I wish them courage and strength as they bear this irreparable loss. May the soul of Corthwright Marshall rest in eternal peace.

The family of Mr. Marshall knows better than to even entertain much less accept any FAKE HYPOCRITICAL “tribute” from the party and any memebr of such that played any part in conspiring to kick out their loved one from the candidature in St. marys south. Shirtless, winking up, party boys might have a short memory, but FAMILY members do not….neither the good people of the constituency…………we made a terrible mistake bi-election………we will make sure to correct that next general election.
Mercyyyyy mi tummock!!! Shugy u hab mo heart dan wan pack a card!! Old people would say you “WICKED LAKKA GREEN EEL”
You should a shame fu even mention de C in de good gentleman name.
At a time when folks should be paying tribute to Mr. Marshall’s memory and celebrating his life, it is sad, no, shameful that some would use this forum more about the people paying tribute to the deceased than the deceased himself. Mr. Marshall and I are products of Jennings Secondary School, and although I had not seen or spoken to him in over 40 years (that is how long I’ve lived overseas), I was and will always be proud of his accomplishments. I hope his life and accomplishments will serve as enduring symbols of his legacy and inspire future generations of graduates of our beloved alma mater, Jennings Secondary School. Rest in Peace, brother, and may your memory be a blessing to all who hear your your name and see your works.

He was always looked upon by the late Tim Hector as a star child, brilliant with a lot to offer, the last time I saw him at a upp function where he had to be held by the hands to get up the platform to the podium it was not looking good, I am so glad the UPP saved him such embarrassment to be heckled by his political opponent at the time, so the upp sort a dignified place for him to retain status as one who could have been a bright leading star of nation building had upp won the election, sympathies and fair well my brother corthwright marshall.
Condolences to the family of Mr. Cortwright Marshall!
Jennings & the nation has really lost a brilliant icon. Although he’s a political opponent, I can recall hearing PM Browne speaking highly of him.
From all reports Cortwright Marshall seemed to be badly treated by UPP. Is it possible that treatment contributed to his early demise? I am now wondering if the sentiments expressed by Shuggy is genuine or is it hypocrisy to the highest degree.
@ We will NEVER FORGET!!!
Yes we will never forget how Gaston throw away Samantha like a tub of NIGHT SOIL to put in Judas Ischariot in her place to run at St Mary’s South.
Gaston could not provide her with campaign funds and empty promises to give to her constituents but instead spent $5,000,000.00 to try and purchase the seat with filthy lucre from the people of the south.
GUESS we the people of ST MARYS SOUTH WILL NEVER EVER FORGET.
Condolences to his family and friends
My condolences to the family, friends, community and country. I was told he was originally from bolans and related to a classmate of mine from Bolans Primary.
I pray you all the best and that his life would inspire good in others.
I would really love to hear about his life in the US (hardships and rise to success). I love those stories. They are motivating to me.
Yes, both Marshalls got the same dose of tonic from their party. Corty from UPP and Samantha from ABLP. So we went from two Marshalls to no Marshalls. One died from cancer, let’s see if the other dies from obesity and hypertension. But it’s a path for all of us. Karma and wickedness all around!!!
Kelvin Simon, mine lightning nah strike you boss!!! u and lovell have plenty fu tell Gad
Great man, even to just have a chat with. Condolences to the family of Corty. ¡Hasta la victoria siempre!
