Hon. Kelvin ‘Shugy’ Simon Christmas Message

4

Christmas is that very special time of year, when we put aside our differences and come together with our families, friends and loved ones, to share in the joy of the festive season.

But let us remember the real meaning behind the festivities: the joy of Jesus’ birth and the unchanging message of hope that is so important, in these changing and often unsettling times.

Let us look out for our neighbours who may be facing severe economic hardships, as our we are plagued by the mismanagement of our country’s economy by the current administration.

I encourage you to reach out to those whose circumstances defy the happiness that Christmas is all about – the poor and the elderly, the sick and the shut-in. And let us look out, especially for the children who look forward to Christmas with so much hope and expectation.

Let us recommit to building the type of future that we want to see for our community and country. One in which our children are safe, healthy, and getting the best education; where our citizens are employed in well-paying jobs; where the right environment is created for businesses and entrepreneurs to flourish, and the right investments are made to ensure our economic stability and growth.

To the people of St. Mary’s South, thank you for the honour and privilege of serving as your representative and working with you to ensure a better quality of life for all.

To all Antiguans and Barbudans, may the meaning of Christmas fill your lives with joy and peace, and your homes with an abundance of love, light and laughter. From my family to yours, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2024 and beyond.

  1. Shuggy in a fish bowl…what is the subtle message that he and the rest MPs on the opposition side are like a jelly fish?

    • No, like Coconut jelly….hard like a rock. The harder they come the harder they fall (the fallers GB and DG)

  2. The Honourable Kelvin Shugy Simon, the one man that can (and has) take on Gaston Browne at his own game.

2024 looks like being a progressive one, not only for ‘Shugy’, but also for the growth of UPP as well.

ABLP 🎤🎶”Dropping Like Dem Hot …”🎶

  3. All these Christmas and Easter and Independence messages from MP’s are just a load of bullsh-t.

Wonder which one of them is brave enough to not put out one. Only their people (alright, some) read these empty predictable words. It is things like these that just turn people off from politicians just going through the motion.

One does a message, the others must do theirs. One gives a constituency party, the others must give theirs.

Here’s an idea to politicians. If you have to do a message, just recycle them every five years, so the 2018 new year’s message should be due in a few days time.
    Bunch of jokers.
