Antigua and Barbuda celebrated the return of homeporting over the weekend as the Emerald Sakara and the Arvia cruise ships docked, bringing over 900 passengers.

This marked a pivotal moment for the nation’s tourism, a sector that has propelled it to global popularity in recent years.

Significant governmental investments in tourism infrastructure, such as new hotels and resorts, have catered to the rising influx of visitors.

Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez expressed optimism for 2024, revealing over 970,000 passengers already booked, with expectations to surpass one million—a milestone for the island.
