The Cabinet held a google meeting with an investment team in Holland joined by their lawyer in Antigua.
The team is planning to spend US$300,000,000.00 in Antigua constructing a new hotel which will open in 2023 and a convention center which will be completed in the year following, or in 2024.
The developers/investors anticipate creating as many as 400 jobs during the construction phase and an equal number when the new hotel and convention center are operational.
One of the major principals is a CIP Citizen who has already demonstrated great faith in the Gaston Browne administration and in Antigua and Barbuda.

This person is going to spend $300,000,000. Yida was supposed to spend $200,000,000 per year for 10 years for a total of $2 billion. How much has Yida spent so far? Only Gaston Browne would know,because he seems to be working for Yida.He is the spokesman for Yida and his Company.

We need to help local people be creative ad have our own. Create Empowerment Zones in villages and give blaack people a chance and 40 years of concessions. With the way the world is going people ain’t going to be traveling much anymore, why not refocus the economy and try get more manufacturing plants here , clothing and textile or electrics . Anything but mindless hotel and tourism dependence which keep parents away from kids at nights and holidays leaving space for adolescent misbehaving , teen pregnancy ,crime and drug use. Take note people the government don’t think much of us and they don’t care about your family and future.
