It has been another extremely challenging year for all, especially those who travel to and from our shores. But we continue to be optimistic that we can look forward to better days as we learn to navigate life in a post-covid era.
COVID-19 and its variants continue to be be very disruptive for many countries, but we are proud of our vaccination and mitigation efforts here on our small island. We have been able to maintain a steady course and are now no longer under a State of Emergency, with curfews being removed starting today.
We would like to acknowledge our steadfast supporters – the government of Antigua & Barbuda, sponsors, Friends of ASW and the businesses who contributed to our on-going fundraising auction along with the enthusiastic individuals who participated by bidding on items and experiences.
Their combined efforts have ensured that our small team here is able to maintain the operation and keep the proverbial lights on. The proceeds from our recent auction will allow us to solider forward until entry fees start to be processed. We are grateful for everyones support and we are happy to say what we are closing out the year with 63 boats entered to race with us from April 30 – May 6 2022.
We must also remind all entrants that the discounted rate for entry fees is still available and scheduled to increase on January 3rd, 2022. If you have entered and have not yet paid, don’t delay to pay!
