    Not sure what ‘…Little Man’ was at play. Sometimes, it is what goes on one’s head.

    Extricate them from your head, for they could make one see invisible men or hear voices or non-existent things, including ‘…Crapaud Smoking Pipe.’

    Apart from ‘…Little Man,’ what else have you seen my friend Duncy?’

    Seemingly in the haste for ‘…Breaking News,’ the reporter appeared to have ‘…sacrificed accuracy with ‘…Scooping Speed.’

    Factually, the Court’s pronounced punishment was (i) ‘…45 years; (ii) …Leniency for Plea in Mitigation, 15 years; and (iii) …Time spent on remand/awaiting trial, 2 years.’

    Mathematically, ‘…45 – 15 + 2= 28.’

    Two accused – one pleaded Guilty, and sure in ‘…Plea of Mitigation,’ expressed remorse for his vicious and deadly action and was extended leniency;

    (ii) …the other co-accused, exercising his right, pleaded ‘…Not Guilty,’ went through a full trial; …found guilty by the Jury.’

    The Court then extended the full weight of the law with punishment of ‘…Life Imprisonment,’ and either on the lighter or more severe sentence, this is ‘…called ‘…Little man at play.’

    Not in anyway suggesting that my online friend ‘…DUNCY BAT’ should visit the ‘…Clare Vue’ psychiatric institution, but even without the mathematical calculations. speaking to ‘…little man’ seemingly requires some kind of ‘…institutionalized evaluation.’

    He might unwittingly give the impression that he might just be a ‘…wee bit off,’ but certainly not ‘…dunce.’

    The penalties reflect the heinous nature of the crime. None may deny that justice was served.

  2. A small country like Antigua cannot continue to afford these life sentences in prison being handed out. Pretty soon half of our population will be in prison…

    • If we cant afford the life sentences being handed out, what do you suggest? Give them a slap on the wrist and make them promise to be good boys, do you prefer to kill them?

      • Yes, something like that. Because if all we do is give life sentences, then what tools do we have to redeem lives and change human behavior.

        The idea that giving life sentences somehow makes everybody safer is just ridiculous and stupid. All the money we will spend housing him, feeding him, giving him medical care, etc. is just a waste.

        Let’s be real, a life sentence is really a death sentence.
