This information was shared in the Cabinet notes, which were distributed Thursday morning.

Here is the information:

The Minister of Health reported on the state of the Covid-19 pandemic in Antigua and Barbuda. Up until the start of C

abinet, no cases of Covid-19 were being treated in Antigua and Barbuda. The protocols established by the Cabinet and the advice rendered by the medical professionals have resulted in the superb management of the disease in the island-state.

The Minister stressed the need to remain vigilant and encouraged adherence to the wearing of masks, the frequent washing of hands, to social distancing and proper etiquette when sneezing, coughing and speaking to others. He credited the absence of domestic spread and of community spread in Antigua and Barbuda to the adherence of the population to the rules established in the law and in the regulations.

In the post-Cabinet period, the Minister announced on radio that one case of Covid-19 has been confirmed from tests submitted to CARPHA. So that there is one Antigua and Barbuda national who is currently being treated for the disease.
