The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Antigua and Barbuda is marking World Stroke Day on October 29 with a call for prevention under the theme “#GreaterThanStroke.” Emphasizing stroke prevention through lifestyle changes—like increased physical activity, healthier eating, and salt reduction—Dr. Georgette Meade, the Foundation’s President, highlights the impact these steps can have on heart health.

Building on its past successes, the Foundation announced its 6th Annual Cardiac Symposium for February 16, 2025, focusing on topics such as stroke management, AI in healthcare, and the impact of stress on cardiac health.

The Foundation’s initiatives aim to raise awareness and equip the community with knowledge to reduce stroke risks.
