Head Of Parents Teachers Association Opposes Decision To Have Fifth Form Students Return To School

11

Head of the National Parents Teachers Association (NPTA) Alister Thomas says he does not agree with Fifth Form students being returned to the classroom, and the NPTA was not consulted before that decision was taken.

He added education should be more inclusive, with students playing a major role in some decision making.

Speaking on the Good Morning Sass Show on Wednesday, May 27, Thomas says it appears that Ministry officials want to deploy colonial-type methods in this new era of education.

Instead, he says, Education personnel should get more people involved in enhancing the experience for students and teachers.

Thomas notes how the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the current education system, and he emphasizes the need to adapt to the changed world.

Thomas believes that where decisions for the future of education are being made, Parent Teacher Associations must play a more meaningful role.

  1. Did Alister Thomas graduate from secondary school? When was he elected “Head” of the NPTA? Who are the other members of the Executive? When is the next election for the NPTA? Does he miss being the Information Commissioner? Has Ali & Associates given back to the community? Is he still bending wires and making lovely costumes? Is it true that he is obsessed with engaging in intellectual masturbation? Will he be a candidate in the next general election?

    • Rather than make a valuable contribution and comment to this article, you have chosen to allow your obvious dislike for the man to take control and lead you off on a completely irrelevant tangent. Sort of a Trump type reaction. Next time, try to make an intelligent, impactful and related contribution to an article rather than allowing your personal feelings to take you in an irrelevant direction making you end up looking like an ass.

      • No stone was thrown in your pigpen, but yet you are squealing. What’s the matter Ali? Carnival being cancelled got you all “touches” and “in your feelings”? Again, who elected you as the “Head”? and did you complete secondary school at Princess Margaret? Don’t be so thin-skinned boss. Just answer the question in order to help establish some shred of credibility as “Head” of a NATIONAL association. Thank you Ali.

  2. Where were you to interject before they went back to the classroom? You and your executive should have approached the ministry since the beginning instead on grumbling in the corner.

    • So true. You have to excuse poor Ali. He craves attention and has overestimated his importance to John Public. The man just loves to yap his mouth; and like the hag with lipstick, he is a know-it-all.

    • Pearl Quinn? Nar. Lovell will not allow her to outshine him or usurp his leadership. But for real, did Ali graduate secondary school? And WHEN and HOW was he “elected” as the “Head” of the so-called NPTA? That is all the public deserves to know. Transparency please. Keep squealing if you want, but these and other questions need to be answered.

  3. Wow take your dirty knee off the man neck, you’ll following the white man and destroying each other, after he himself brainwash you’ll to be hater of your kind.
