St. Johns Rural North is very happy with what Max has done to our community and have generously contributed to his efforts in the area and his campaign. Parker on the other hand is completely unknown to most in our area and doesn’t have a hope of beating Max regardless of the voters skin colour. What a backward thing to say!     John E St.Luis and then Maginley and now Max. This is a young lady the UPP had understudying Baldwin Spencer to take over Grengren constituency. She grew up in the Getto and made remarkable strides in the academic and political arenas. She has declined drastically. Served in the senate again under Baldwin Spencer. She made bad political moves – the first was voting against the CIP bill I am against the CIP program. However, if I was a parliamentarian and had intended to vote against a bill that my government had put forward. I would have said something to my government, especially the PM. She then was one of the leaders that joined with Joan Massiah and divided the UPP over leadership battle. They formed their own political party the DNA and ran unsuccessful in two or three elections or I should say poorly. Most of them lost their deposit if not all during the elections.
    What I must commend her on is her persistence in working in her community- holding summer camps for the poor and vulnerable children. She is entirely a Grengren Girl.
    She returned to the UPP very recently and that was a good decision politically speaking. However, the person that is representing the constituency is one of the UPP’s better candidates, in the person of Richard Lewis. In fact if he was chosen Leader of the UPP last conversation, we would not be having an election now.
    Mr.Parker have been living in All Saints West constituency for the past 20 years. Just like Harold Lovell she doesn’t consider herself for All Saints West, although living there. So she doesn’t participate in activities in All Saints west. She is by far more friendly to key members of that community and would have made a better candidate than Harold Lovell- even if he wins. She would have been the better choices for All Saints West- future included.
    I guess time is moving swiftly by and she is catching a straw. Hence she took up the challenge against the best performing APLP candidate in Max the minister of tourism.
    Without being color blind to run in that constituency- dominated by Antiguan whites. She is unknown in that constituency as well. This is something that the UPP has been doing and have had some success , when there is a big potential swing in their favor. However, this time it seems like the swing is away from the UPP Party.
    So Malaka Parker would better served as a campaign manager for Richard Lewis , who is not having a walk in the park. She could also be looking to take over the chairmanship of the party after this general election. I don’t blamed Gisel Issac for the demise of the UPP but the MP’s and even the idiot that encouraged Anthony Smith to run for Chairman of UPP political party.
    I am also of the view that the UPP is wasting resources campaigning in some constituencies to include running against Gaston Browne , Max , Chet and Cutie ( especially with the two weak candidates in Franz and Adrian. They are both wasting the electorate time. Franz I would support running against Cutie . He has done some level of community work- after classes etc .
