Half a million dollars worth of building material donated to NODS

Over 500 thousand EC dollars-worth of building materials have been donated to the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) for repairs and reconstruction of buildings both on Antigua and Barbuda following the damage caused by Hurricane Irma last year.

The James and Maginley Charity and Care Foundation handed over the materials to Director of NODS Philmore Mullin on Wednesday at the Antigua Port Authority.

Chairman of the Foundation Casroy James says after enquiring of the needs of NODS a few months ago one of the group’s partners made the contribution of plywood and 2×4 and 2×6 lumber.

The NODS Director notes that the materials will go towards the homes of individuals both on Antigua and Barbuda, who have been affected. He appealed to other corporate citizens to contribute towards the ongoing efforts.

Chief Executive Officer and Director of the foundation Kirthley Maginley says the group is hoping to make other contributions to the Antigua and Barbuda rebuilding efforts as other individuals are willing to donate towards the cause. –

  1. Wait that is the same James these UPP people so badly wanted to see in jail because of the Odebrecht scandal.
I wonder what to date the contribution to the rebuilding of Barbuda was from members of the UPP and the BPM. Bet you it’s ZERO not one cent.
Thank you Mr. James. Show were your heart is.
