Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream voluntary recall for chemical contamination

The Prices and Consumer Affairs Division advises consumers of a product recall on Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream due to chemical contamination. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATS APP GROUP

The recall is due to the presence of trace amounts of the chemical ethylene oxide found in this flavour of the ice cream.

According to the manufacturer, General Mills Australia Pty Ltd it is conducting a recall of

Häagen-Dazs Vanilla 457ml and  Häagen-Dazs Classic Collection Mini Cups 4 x 95mL 

Date markings 

All Best Before dates from 4th July 2022 up to and including 21st July 2023

Out of an abundance of caution, the Division is advising consumers not to consume these recalled goods since food products containing ethylene oxide may cause illness.

For full refunds, consumers should contact the place of purchase.

  1. So I just read that the fact checkers say that ethylene oxide, which is used to sterilize the COVID swab is a gas and therefore cannot persist on the swab and cause harm to those taking the test. How now does it contaminate ice cream?

  3. What is the difference between this ethylene
    and the ethylene used to ripen the bananas . All the beautiful yellow Bananas we see in trays all over are ripened with ethylene. The people that imports bananas in Ovals and the one in Piggots have ripening rooms and ethylene is used ripens. . I have been asking of the safety about this product a long time. Are that the same ethylene.

  5. This is utter nonsense! Slow sales or no sales on this extremely overpriced product and they come up with a ‘jackass’ reason to destroy/throw away/dump the product and collect insurance $$$$.
    Move on people!…Move on!

I have read from a few people who now are having allergic reactions to foods that they have been eating for year, these people now has been putting their nano particle In our food, so take notice of the items that’s going missing from your shelves and coming back, stay away. Evil is growing in this world an it’s getting darker. Start prepping while you can. I Pray the Most High will us through .
