Source: Newsroom – Police have arrested a 25-year-old female security guard who reportedly stabbed a 43-year-old labourer in the vicinity of Republic Bank on Water Street, Georgetown on Tuesday.
Injured is Doris Tudor, a labourer attached to the Quarter Master Stores located on Barrack Street, Eve Leary, Georgetown, and who resides at ‘C’ Field, Sophia.
Police Headquarters reported that the incident occurred at about 11:50 and that the two women have an ongoing problem for over a year now.
It is alleged that Tudor was in the area conducting personal business when the suspect saw her and an argument ensued.
“The suspect then attacked the victim and dealt her a stab to her left upper back.
A report was made at the Police Outpost on Water Street while some public spirited persons detained the suspect and handed her over to the police,” the Police report detailed.
The victim was escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital and her condition is listed as stable.
The suspect was arrested and placed into custody at the Brickdam Police Station pending further investigations.
