The police are presently investigating two distinct incidents involving firearms at school football matches this week.

In the first incident on Monday, an entire team bus was escorted to the police headquarters after a flare gun was reportedly discharged from inside the bus, with players and spectators present.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this incident, which occurred in Clare Hall.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a student was apprehended with a firearm at the Radio Range playing field during a school football match.

Reports suggest that the student was allegedly displaying the gun to others when a plainclothes officer at the match noticed the activity.

Upon inquiry, Rowan Benjamin, the coordinator of school football, confirmed that both incidents are currently under the jurisdiction of law enforcement.
