National sprinter Cejhae Greene narrowly missed advancing in the Men’s 100 Meters at the Paris Olympics on Saturday.
Competing in Heat 8, Greene finished fourth with a time of 10.17 seconds.
The race was won by USA’s Fred Kerley at 9.97 seconds, with Letsile Tebogo of Botswana second at 10.01 seconds and Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes third at 10.03 seconds.
Only the top three in each heat advance to the semifinals.

And just like that they all got eliminated. To be expected with the improper facilities for further improvement and development.
Probably just as well, with as horrible as this “olympics” has been Mr. Greene would probably have been pitted against someone on a motorcycle.
The [athletes] are to be commended for their efforts, at these Internstional meetings. They’re competing against, the best of the best; and, in athletics this is no easy feat with all of the dynamics which goes into training and competing, at this level.
In spite of, and despite of the setbacks, #Big_Up and nuff RASpect to all of the Nations athletes.
On another note, Rolston Pompey recently mentioned, a #sharp_shooter from the ranks of the law enforcement profession who could “shoot an ant off the trunk of a tree,” he didn’t say specifically from what distance, but I’m assuming it’s over fifty meters; so, the question is why not train athletes to compete in such things, as skeet shooting, and other shooting competition’s?
Just like #kite_boarding we could stand a chance of getting our first Olympic medal, as a Nation.

Just like that. Track and field just start and everything done for Wadadli. It’s as if we push hard ie Cejhae Greene, or go out the way just to make it to the Olympics, enjoy the opening ceremony and that’s it. How could you pulled off a PB 10 to get in the Olympics and now you get there couldn’t even get close to that PB, when it counts by clocking a10.17? Unbelievable! Olympics after Olympics same thing no progress for Wadadli so we now have to sit and cheer on the Jamaicans, but I saw this coming. You don’t run on the Diamond league where all the big names are, instead compete in a lot of low level none televised back door meets. When I see places likeTortola BVI still in it and we’re not I shake my head.
Ras Smood, I hear you and I’ll say that to the first timer young swimmer who really did a great job,3rd in her heat and Joella still young in Uni, her first real Olympics since the covid session, Cejhae on the other hand been doing this now for a while back with Bakka, so by now he should be able to at least get out the heats. I said before perhaps a new coach and management team, who can get him on the Diamond league circuit permanently, this is the best way to know where you at on the tracks.
Big up St Lucia Julien Alfred, will medal in both 100m and 200m guaranteed, progressing all the time.
@Carvaa…
I hear about competing at top tier Athletic Meets, to gauge and sharpen one skills in these competitions where 1/100 of a second or less can determine a champion.
Alfred of St. Lucia just one the 100 Meters Women Race! 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
Money! Moh money! Only Money!
As with Joella and many Caribbean Athletes, American Universities are our best hope right now for training our Athletes. It’s that simple. We don’t have the facilities nor the funding!

We gave land and car to a 4th place winner before and after that he didn’t do good/ way too many distractions … our expectations are very low…
A Commendable effort to the Antiguan Athletic team For Paris 2024 Olympics. You did your best. Thank you for your representation. For those arguing that it’s because Antigua has poor facilities… Sure that is true to an extent but it must be clear that most of these athletes train in and outdoor of The said facilities with some of the best coaches. Joella, Cejhae, Stefano etc…all train internationally. Stop being negative and be gracious that they even got that far. Kudos to St lucia and Dominica for their Gold Medal wins… Celebrate the athletes competing on such a level. It’s a lot to deal with
Stay away from those “pretty boys” in Kappa…….Jehovah Witness don’t partake in secret society….much less fraternity full of cutie boys with sideburns and bleached skin
Antigua does not invest in their athletes . Every Olympics they send the same man and woman for track and field and they don’t even qualify in Antigua they qualify overseas.. Antigua invest nothing to groom athletes …
And do you know what the word bow out means??? It’s means to leave on your own accord.. he didn’t “bow out” he didn’t qualified so that’s it
