St. Paul MP and Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene has announced the arrival of two new garbage trucks to enhance waste collection and support a sustained community beautification program in his constituency.

Greene made the announcement during Monday’s reopening of the Cobbs Cross Clinic, describing the investment as part of a long-term plan to improve public health and sanitation across St. Paul.

“I’m pleased today to announce the recent acquisition of two garbage trucks to support our vision of perennial cleanliness and beautification of our St. Paul community,” Greene said.

“We are confident when we declare that a healthy community is a clean community, and a clean community is a healthy community.”

The trucks will serve areas including Cobbs Cross, Falmouth, English Harbour, and Piccadilly.

Greene said maintaining a clean environment is essential to community health and complements the reopening of the new clinic, which he described as “a symbol of progress and partnership.”

He urged residents to take pride in their surroundings and protect community assets. “This is your investment,” he said. “We’ve already begun efforts to ensure its surroundings are as pristine as the interior.”

The St. Paul MP said the initiative reflects the government’s broader commitment to linking healthcare improvements with environmental stewardship and civic responsibility.

  1. Way to go Chet you are ready for Prime time. Make the move, its your God given right you have the ability and decency. What do you have to lose

  2. Are they his personal contribution to the constituency?
Are they from the government’s treasury and are being used to prop up Chet’s diminishing image?
    Who will operate the trucks?
Who will pay the operators of those trucks?
There are many questions to be asked when people close to the treasury are making contributions to the benefit of their constituency.
Don’t worry! Wayne Marsh will expose his nakedness.

  3. “The government’s broader commitment” so which is it? I want to believe a government is mandated to service the entire country, so the purchase of two garbage truck for a specific community shouldn’t be welcomed.
Did Chet purchase these out his pocket? If so that’s a huge move by a MP, on the other hand if it’s a donation, you already know how I feel about donation (often breeds corruption) and donated by whom?

We know who is trying to diminish Chet’s status. It is reverse psychology, do a few things in his constituency to keep him happy so he does not challenge for leadership, uneasy is the head that wears the crown
