St. Paul MP and Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene has announced plans to expand healthcare services in his constituency with the construction of new eye and dental clinics near the recently reopened Cobbs Cross Clinic.
Speaking at Monday’s reopening ceremony, Greene said the government is in the process of acquiring adjacent land to support the project, which will bring specialized care closer to residents of St. Paul, English Harbour, Falmouth, Cobbs Cross, and Piccadilly.
“We are now looking to acquire parts of land adjacent to this one for the construction of an eye health clinic and a dental clinic,” Greene said. “Trust me, English Harbour, Cobbs Cross, Falmouth, Piccadilly, St. Paul — the best is yet to come.”
The planned facilities form part of a broader initiative to decentralize healthcare and ensure that residents in southern Antigua have easier access to diagnostic and preventive services.

Greene said the new clinics will complement the fully modernized Cobbs Cross primary health facility, which reopened after being closed since 2003. He described the project as another demonstration of the government’s long-term investment in the well-being of local communities.
“This investment is for the people,” Greene said. “We are committed to expanding the quality of healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that every community has access to the services it deserves.”
The St. Paul MP praised the Ministries of Health and Works for their collaboration in completing the Cobbs Cross Clinic, adding that the upcoming eye and dental centers will continue the government’s focus on improving both preventive and specialized healthcare across the constituency.

Hey Chet…I’m happy you get a little of the spotlight for yourself and helped out your people in St Paul, but we all know your narcissistic leader can’t stand that one bit, and love to have all the attention on him, so before he let you bath in the likkle light shining on you for a few seconds, he jump up and start promising all kinda clinics soon to be open around Antigua. 😂
But we all know it’s just BS to get the spotlight back on himself.. I like you Chet, you are a good man, but you have one of the most selfish person leading your party.
The man is as narcissistic as they get.
But continue the good work Chet, I really mean that. I’m not against good work, but I hate hypocrites and liars.
Proud to see local progress! Step by step Antigua improving. Let’s keep the momentum going
