Government To ‘Applaud’ Front-line Health-workers Following COVID-19

The Cabinet agreed that those health-workers who are placed on the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus, including nurses and orderlies, will be applauded in several ways when this crisis is at an end.

This assurance is being repeated since it was first made public more than three weeks ago.

The Cabinet expresses thanks on behalf of the people of Antigua and Barbuda.

Where in this story did it say.The Nurses and others would be financially compensated? It did say they would be applauded. The English language one of the more complex of all languages.Perhaps Spanish is your primary language.

  1. Please!!!, a promise is a comfort to a fool.
Some people on the backline work just as hard or even much, much harder. Just like Coronavirus, they remain invisible and just like Coronavirus, they are a force to be reckoned with.

    • Mmm that’s just for show what kind a nurse is that testing a patient no gloves that’s how disease spreads

      • You’re assuming that it’s a nurse 🤔… What if it’s a volunteer. Yes, she should be wearing gloves bottom line. But don’t be so quick to jump to conclusions.

  2. Nurse dont want to be applauded. Our proposal regarding the new working contract that the government negotiating team has for almost 2 years needs to be addressed. MSJMC workers need a pension plan.

What nonsense about applaud…applaud cannot be taken to the banks and pay the bills after they finish working. They never realize how much they needed nurses until now. Yet for almost 2 years, the proposal on their desk harbouring dust and spider web.

  3. Are these the same nurses you were planning to make redundant from MSJMC, but they found the information and came to parliament to protest? Since when you so love nurses? God not sleeping and he don’t wear PJs
