Government has failed to fund the Boundaries Commission since it was appointed, Symister says

It has been almost a year since the new Boundaries Commission was appointed, and the body is yet to receive the funding to which it is entitled, by law, to do its work.

Leon Chaku Symister, who was appointed by Leader of the Opposition Jamale Pringle, confirms that the Government has failed to finance the body.

Consequently, those tasks that do not require any major financing are what is being tackled at this time, Symister says.

And since it has very important work to do, he says the Commission will not make the lack of funds an obstacle.
