IT’S OUR SEASON TO ELEVATE

So Arise Music International, is a Global Multi-Media platform out of Antigua with a vision to bring persons from across the world to celebrate the best of who we are.

The 8th Annual Antigua Barbuda Gospel Music & Media is certainly becoming one the signature events that facilitates this vision of Founder, Apostle Stanshaw Cornelius.

This year’s awards ceremony, under the theme “Elevation”, promises to be bigger and better with Artists, Producers, Record Label Executives, Promoters, Media Personalities from Canada, USA, Africa, Antigua and other Caribbean Islands will grace our shores for a jam-packed weekend of events.

Finalists in this year’s ABGMA were announced on May 23rd 2022 and can be viewed via the So Arise TV Youtube Channel. Starting on Wednesday November 2nd, The Vision Of Genesis 39 Tv Network out of Canada, founded by Minister Elisha Smellie, will host one of two Virtual Pre-Show Events. Following, So Arise Tv’s Media Personalities DJ Victor256 and Presh of The Sauti Sound Tv Show from Kampala, Uganda and Nigeria respectively will be bringing the sounds of Africa on Thursday November 3rd 2022.

The main events will be held at the Sir Vivian Richard’s Stadium Presidential Suite.

On Friday November 4th the Legacy Ball & Media Awards will honour six (6) persons. International Multi-Award Winning Gospel Recording Artist Naycha K.I.D (Antigua) – Impact Award for Distinguished Service in Music, Producer/Musician/Songwriter Mr. Laul Thomas (Antigua)-Legacy Award for Distinguished Service in Music, Mr. Dobrene O’Marde (Antigua)- Impact Award for Distinguished Service in Activism , Pastor/Singer/Songwriter/Choir Director Christopher Huyler Roberts (Bahamas)- Legacy Award for Distinguished Service in Ministry, J.Truth (Antigua) will be the first recipient of the Leonard Tim Hector Impact Award for Social Activism and Observer Radio by Newsco Ltd will receive a Legacy Award for their Distinguished Service in Media.

Live Performances at the Legacy Ball include Gospel Hip-Hop Artist/Film Director/Producer Tha Corinth out of Minnesota, USA and Multi-Award ABGMA Winners Kulcha D, Lisa Harris, Antoniette Burke and Discyple will pay tribute in Song of Naycha K.I.D Hits.

In addition to that, the Winners of the Media Categories will be announced. Following this is the Praise Concert at 9pm headlining the Queen of Holy Hip-Hop, Lady C, an Archafella Records Multi-Award Winning Gospel Recording Artist alongside nine (9) other featured Artists from the USA.

National Headliners include 3 of Antigua’s finest, International Multi-Award Winning Gospel Recording Artist Lisa Harris, International Multi-Award ABGMA Winner Peetron Thomas and International Mult-Award ABGMA Nominated Gospel Recording Artist, Jasper.

On Saturday November 5th the Music Awards will feature an Artist Showcase for new and upcoming Artists and the announcement of the Winners in the Music Categories. Live Performances will include Carlton Louison (Trinidad) and more to be announced.

Following the Music Awards is the Grand Finale, “Praise Out Loud” After Party Concert at 8:30pm headlining International Multi-Award Winning Gospel Artists, Naycha K.I.D, Emrand Henry, Phenom the 1st, Nigel Lewis, Discyple and the Reunion of one of Antigua’s Top Gospel Bands, Judah Development.
