The family of Ghamale’ Henry and the Antigua and Barbuda International Institute of Technology (ABITT) have awarded the 2019 Ghamale’ Henry Scholarship to Brianna Ambrose.
The family announced the inaugural scholarship in 2018 in honour of their husband, son, father, brother, nephew and cousin who passed away in 2017. Ghamale was a consummate Information Technology (IT) professional, and a graduate of ABIIT.
Each year, the family awards one promising IT student with funding to complete their final year of studies at Ghamale’s alma mata ABIIT.
According to his mother Jasmin Underwood – Joseph “this is our family’s way of ensuring that his children grow up knowing the true measure of the man who was their father, our way of honouring him. It is our way of building upon his legacy. We stand firm in our commitment to helping a student who shares the same commitment to excellence, and aptitude in the IT field.”
Expressing gratitude for the award the 2019 recipient remarked that “it is my hope that my dedication, hard work and perseverance will inspire others who are pursuing studies in the fast paced, ever changing field of IT, network engineering or computer science.”
