  5. I actually like this video the PM made. Well done. I would have added details about maybe one policing tactic for criminals to know it is not you just him saying the same thing about patrolling but this time it will be done strategically, in a manner they are more likely to be apprehended and they can see those kinds of patrol the next day as promised. I give him credit hear.

These #gang_supression units are simply military units trained and released in mostly underserved, underprivileged neighborhoods which became the conduits for the storage and distribution, of drugs and of course now, guns. The main factors driving this #War_On_The_People which, said system of governance helped to create.

    A…crime fighting in these made communities have to come from a wholesome and holistic approach, to include all stakeholders. The Education and Private Sector must play as much of a role, as the paramilitary law enforcement agencies, otherwise, it’s natural for any animal, to include HUEman when under attack, that doesn’t respond angrily and negatively. They fight back even if the #End_Game is annihilation, some part or form or section of said species is going to fight back. Humans are no different.
    By trying to suppress the youths now, after you had let them run freely and doing it in a DRACONIAN WAY, with little to no infrastructure in place (education is so and so, jobs are so by so, advancement is oh oh.

    Next, if the PM Gaston Browne, coming from Point and Villa, roaming the hood from the 1990’s until now, 2024 and could not forsee, that allowing the teenagers (in the 1990’s) those that hung out/line at #Booby_Alley and lower St. John’s Street to those on Back Street to those on Hand Street (Pupa Nedpha and Upper_Cut, ah wah r u a say now) would today advance not only to Yorks, Upper Fort Road, North Villa (yes developed areas came but not all very positive for Our Community); I’m now speaking #Spanglish, no ha vla ingles, dat a habla English!
    The Community, not just you Gaston Browne, PM, but the entire Community, ebrie tut, mun and bugeye basically sat back and endorsed #open_air Drug markets, pussy distribution outlets some doubled as, dope and gambling parlors.
    The children of that 1990’s generation are those which you’re now targeting, why just blame them for what they were immersed in. It’s rumoured, that the school which most of City West and surrounding neighborhoods high school students attend PMS is rife with #Gang activity.
    Now, please don’t get me weird or mean or wrong, there are great youths in the community. Villa Lions FC is still producing young stars, Hellsgate still rules the Pan Scene, Zachari & Thalia, work fu do! Dredge bay is advancing, but the street corners, they’re gonna be tougher to reel in. These are now in the hands of the CARIBBEAN MELTING POT CULTURE, and “Dem nah easy fu control and lock dung lakkah r u – de #Shit_stym do to Rasta and Black Power and Pan Africanist.
    A lot of North American Cities which this hybrid Caribbean Culture of thuggery have gravitated to, are still having problems controlling the same problems which Antigua is now trying to control with the same tactics.
    Such tactics which include the War On Drugs to the Three Strikes You Are Out have had some effect on some Communities but the statistics of serious crimes murder, robberies (armed and unarmed), hueman trafficking, embezzlement, corruption, gun crimes are still up. Some may dip slightly.

    What has worked to some degree is what they term gentrification but, this too has its controversies in terms of affordability. However, it cleans up the once blighted, bloated and volatile communities by changing the dynamics in the neighborhoods to accommodate all.
    They add libraries, green spaces, they have Community gardens/farms/educational spaces, they have added mixed incomes millionaires to elderly retirees in need of healthcare. They’re partnering with private investors to return dignity to their Communities.

    One thing is certain, WE KNOW DECLARING WAR ON A COMMUNITY WHICH WAS ALLOWED TO DETERIORATE BY OUR OWN DOING DON’T WORK.
