  1. Congratulations to all the students…well done. These are very good percentage out of 400.
This is first time I have ever heard of these primary schools: Minoah Magnet, Nelvie N. Gore, St. Peter’s Academy, and Charlesworth T. Samuel.

  2. Once again, i congratulate the students and parents. I wish to offer one observation and that is, the private Primary Schools continues to outshine the government run primary schools and that should be a major cause for concern. I believe that they both have access to the same syllabus and if this is the case, then the Ministry of Education needs to take a serious look at the underperformance of the students in the government primary schools and by extension, the teachers who teaches them. This is something I have wanted to comment on for a long time but I delayed it because I do not want people to think I am starting strife. The overwhelming amount of students who made it in the top 100 comes from Private Primary Schools and so it would appear as if they are doing something that is not being done in the Government run primary institutions. I call on the Ministry to investigate this. Not every parent has the financial where with all to send their child to a private school and such parents want to be assured of the same standards that are available in the Private Schools.

    • I have also observed that and great point. Even the new private schools that seems to just have been started are ranking higher than the Government school.

    • Most of these teachers that now teaches in the private schools had taught in the government schools before most of their life. A lot of them are retired teachers from the government schools.

    • Ever considered that private school only house students that are willing to work and are quick to put out students who refuse to work and parents who don’t want to work with their kids? Ever considered that teachers in the government school have to be parents, counselling, pastors, judges, police officers all before they can begin to teach a lesson because many students in the government school are left to raise themselves? I’m not saying that sometimes teachers are not at fault for students lacking production, but everyone is always quick to blame the teacher and they forget about the roll of the parents and the community in raising children. Parents are raising children to size up with teachers and have no respect and expect the same teachers to be motivated to over and beyond for students without spend a dime extra because “me education levy”, which they believe entitled them to endless privilege and neither have spend money or put in the work.

  3. Congratulations to ALL students and also to the teachers who prepared them for the exam. Observation: (1) AGHS and AGS is the school of choice for the first 100 what happen to schools such as PMS (2) The majority of the ones that pass in the 100 category are females…..Males students…….What’s going on?

  4. Most of these teachers that now teaches in the private schools had taught in the government schools before most of their life. A lot of them are retired teachers from the government schools. Serious investigation needed.
