  1. For the month of May 2018, 26 males according to the statistical department died. It was 24 the year before. At the end of 2018 we had some 295 male deaths. Most of their relatives, can testify that for most of them it was sudden. This will be especially true this year since we are social distancing. Problem is for many men social distancing started long before Covid (most men tend to live alone)

    • We wouldn’t have to guess, extrapolate, imagine, suppose that these are natural or normal deaths if the powers that be would simply test ALL of these sudden deaths for the novel coronavirus.

The fact that they either have not tested ALL of these people or have not made those results known seems to indicate there is something to hide.

There has been no random testing on the island. They have not tested these sudden deaths or made those results public. They have apparently not tested ANYONE in the last several weeks and yet months ago they repeatedly promised local testing was coming soon, in a week, later this week…and it never happened.

      • Local testing (results garnered at MSJ lab) began 10 days ago. Those samples for the next few days will continue to be sent to TNT for verification. Not sure how many places in the world doing “random” testing. Testing related materials are still scarce. Most countries are limited to testing persons with symptoms. In terms of the males who died suddenly, more have been tested, and all so far negative. Dr. Simon also hinted to the fact that some of them are known to the medical fraternity and died due to a pre-existing condition. Wish to also you to a recent article in India where the authorities make clear that the dead should only be tested if there is real evidence that they may have had Covid. This is being done to preserve testing kits (see https://www.hindustantimes.com/delhi-news/delhi-disallows-testing-dead-bodies-for-covid/story-j5n7Dc011wNrZ4hDimi2FJ.html )

        • The government doesn’t have money to test sudden deaths (about 9 to 14 people) but they have enough $$$ to purchase Digicel stock?

If the government can’t reasonably assure the public health crisis is under control (because they can’t or won’t conduct an adequate number of tests), then they shouldn’t be planning to reopen the island which will only exacerbate the circumstances.

They need to test ALL sudden deaths and release that information.

  2. Dude in the photo looks like he got way more than his “threescore and ten”

Guess it was just his time to go. It’s an appointment the majority of human beings MUST meet (ready or not).

  3. @ gethtefacts. Where can we see that information from the statistical department that you are referencing? Can you provide us the link? The makes that died last year did not drop down like flies or collapsed while speaking on the phone.
Either our educational system has failed horribly or you are an ALP party hack.

All sudden deaths should be tested for Covid and even if not so should be thoroughly examined to rule out foul play like poisoning.

    • @Dessalines- I absolutely agree! With some of the sudden death cases, it’s may be Covid-19 or a serial killer. How do we determine if not through examination? It seems like the plan is to show how the island is Covid free by not testing. There is only one way to change that perception. Stay safe everyone.

    • Why not test for TB which currently infects 1.8 billion people worldwide vs COVID which has infected 5 million? If you had an IQ above that of a moron (or not a blue cool aid drinker it appears based on your comment about ALP party hack) you should be able to read and know that Antigua’s average death rate is approx. 50 persons per month which means about 25 males per month. A medical doctor has to issue a death certificate after ascertaining the cause of death whether from COVID, AIDS, Zika, Heart attack, hypertension etc.

Apparently every death everywhere is now COVID as per the COVIDIOTS and all the doctors in Antigua are in on this cover up (except the one that is looking for some publicity). Too bad malaria medication, bleach and disinfectants cannot cure ignorance, irrationality and downright stupidity. Maybe the COVIDIOTS should use these since COVID is ALL over the damn place.

      • Well said Boss. Dessalines is the same guy a day ago, on reading a over 70 year old man died suddenly, argues he should be counted among the young sudden deaths. Its also strange reading someone suggesting that having money means access to testing. Fact is even the US with all its financial wealth has not been able to ramp up testing to beyond those with symptoms. Their morgues complain that even for situations where their is real suspicion of covid, due to lack of testing kits, they cannot carry out the testing. We should test those once we have sufficient kits, where their is sufficient reasons by the medical professions, to believe they may have had covid (eg. they had symptoms)

    • @Dess…seems your head hard since its been often stated the cases where the cause of death is unknown will be subjected to a Coroners inquest (this is mandated by law). Some of the said cases have already had covid tests and the results on all of them have been negative.

      • Ignore Dessalines. He has daddy issues that impair his reasoning and judgment. He is one of those addicted to negativity and fault-finding.
