Donette Simon and Shenel Williams, the anit-vax ‘Freedom Fighters’ have been acquitted of organising the protest against COVID-19 restrictions.

The trial concluded on Thursday.

While both were found guilty of participating in the prohibited event, they were acquitted of organizing it.

Each woman received a $1500 fine, due by the end of March 2024, with potential consequences of a four-month prison sentence for non-payment.

The protest, held on August 8, 2021, resulted in arrests after law enforcement used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.

The women were jointly accused of organizing a prohibited public meeting and participating in the event.

  1. These 2 women are examples of what we should be when we don’t agree with the bullshit we do something about… we stay quiet in this country too often

  2. This is a blow to freedom of expression and the right to peaceful protest. It’s a sad day when people can be prosecuted for protesting. What are we coming to!

    • @Audley Phillip…. What nonsense are you speaking about blow to freedom of expression and right to peaceful protest?! They broke the law and so received an appropriate sentence. Rights come with responsibilities, and freedom of expression and the right to peaceful protest are governed by RULES; one does not have freedom to do whatever they please. All rights are contingent on the framework in which those rights are to be exercised.

      • @Wash an’ Basin…ok, they broke a law which in this case is a misdemeanour.

Now, would you be inclined, to address the GUILTY VERDICT against former Chief Magistrate Walsh?
One would think, that Walsh’s GUILTY VERDICT will have more negative effects, on our society, than what these ladies were found guilty of. Don’t you think?
Can you imagine, the dozens of lives which were affected NEGATIVELY by going before the former Magistrate Walsh?

Time is longer than rope, and the #hounds do come calling to collect their #pound of flesh, as they are instructed to, by KARMA, powered by the ESSENCE of Nature’s Ether!

Psychosis brought on by psychosomatic haunts, allegedly, can be a mofo!

Just so you know, I already dug TWO(2) graves⚰️⚰️!

This is a court of law. They have broken the law and has been found guilty. Isn’t that what a law abiding country should be all about. Or do you promote anarchy.
You really like to sound relevant. But all you do is making a fool of yourself.
I find the sentences mild. Only $1500.00. I would have thought they would have gotting at least tens of thousands in fines or prison sentence. Cause no one is above the law. And we need to set that straight. The Police is there to maintain law and order.

      Follow the Law.

  3. Give me a break! No freedom of speech in this country? Also, covid19 is a thing of the past, let it go! It’s quite frightening when those at the top expect 100% of the population to march to their tune without any questions being asked or any drawbacks (regardless if its covid or something else). That’s called dictatorship.

  4. I want to publicly say BIG UP TO THESE LADIES and I am glad that my Prayers were answered by the Almighty as I Prayed for Mercy on them.

God gives us the free choice and free will to live our lives the way we desire.

That gift of freedom is the greatest gift that he can give.

God wants us to choose, because we love him and want to obey him, to make our decisions within the overall blueprint of his will.

    • God never called us to rebel against authority. In fact when Jesus was asked about paying taxes he said “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s”.
And what does the bible says about government and authority,
“The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong.”

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

There is nowhere in the Bible that God calls on people to rebel. And you want to Big Up these Ladies for Rebelling. You really do not know what you are talking about Beef so leave God out of this.

      • @From The Sideline aka Mrs. Condescending…if some of our FOREPARENTS did not challenge the authorities which were enslaving them, folks like you would not only be licking the crumbs and shit from their boots, who the hell knows what else your tongue would be lapping up while you were on bender knees under their tables.

You should address the former magistrate J. Walsh’s GUILTY VERDICT. This has far more negative impact on our society and culture, than two innocent ladies Marching for FREEDOM!✊🏾✊🏿✊🏿✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Or, your #BRAND_NAME Jesus Christ only punishes the poor, for their actions!

        #god_damn_hypocrite!

      • I guess Rosa Parks should not have ‘rebelled’ (just one of many examples).

        You are such an i***t.

        Carry on!!!

        • And if you know the law you would know that she did not broke it. And she was very peaceful in her demonstration. That is why she won her case in a COURT OF LAW. You guys need to read and understand your history. Those that rebelled were all killed. Even though we honored King Court, his rebelliion didn’t set us free. Papa Bird held peaceful demonstration. Not provoking the law. Whenever you break the law you suffer the consequences. Martin Luther made sure he never broke the law. That is why he reached as far as he did. He could not be convicted in a court of law. And furthermore. I was only commenting on you because you want to draw God in your political business. They tried that with Jesus and that is why he told them give Ceasar what is Ceasars. And when Pontius Pilate said to Jesus, “Don’t you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?” Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above.
Go and meditate on 1John 18.
God never encourage people to rebellion against the government he set.
The bible even have quotes that tells slaves to obey their masters. These are deep spriritual quotes. Love those who hates you. Bless those who crucify you. The women were wrong to defy the law and the warning of the police whom we entrust to uphold law and order. No matter what their motives were. Anyone that breaks a law must be ready to suffer the consequences.

      • Sadly, there are many people with the “roll-over” mentality of @ From The Sideline, hence the continued 9-10 years of Gaston Browne in governance.

Sideline probably thinks that black heroes and heroines like Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parkes; Frederick Douglas, Toussaint L’Ouverture; Malcolm X; Martin Luther King: Nelson Mandela; and Antigua’s own Prince Klaas were trouble makers and deserved to die in bondage.

The worse type of Antiguan without any values or a MORAL compass in his whole body.

        Nasty and vindictive individual …

          • Brix. you make an even bigger mistake than Beef. Mandela broke the law and found himself in jail for many years. That is the consequence he was willing to take and accept. But that didn’t make the black people free. It were the many poltical pressure put on leaders in Europe and America year after year. I was part of an organization in Europe to Free Nelson Mandela. And I know that more white people fought for his release than black people. I came to understand that the majority if white people in Europe had no clue about the existance of slavery. All becasue they too had a terrible life with the class system that existed. It is the wealthy that profited from slavery. Unlike in America, where they live amongst them the average white people turned a blind eye while trying to get by themselves.
I always say that I as a person would be a very rebellious slave. Because cannot tollerate such abuse. But I was converted to Christianity and understood the word in all it’s spiritual sense of the word, and try to live like Christ, I would turn the other cheek and die in prison like Paul or beheaded like many of the Apostles. For Christ said, “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”
And that is why no one can convince me that a soldier that loses his life for me will find it. Cause Chirst is the one who died for me. No soldier can die for me. And I cannot die for no one but myself.
If people could die for one another then God made a big mistake of sending his son to die on the cross. And he called him the perfect sacrifies.

          • My Sidey, another nonsensical diatribe.

It’s religious zealots like you that turn people from following Christianity.

I bet the only book you’ve ever read is the Holy Bible (and I bet its the popular ‘rote’ Scriptures you quote like a parakeet 🦜), any other eclectic read is a waste of time, isn’t it Sidey … say it isn’t so!

  5. Nonsense! Some Antigua people are to docile and afraid of them skin. Big up to these two ladies. We have to get up stand up and go to wat if we have to. This country is too segregated it like living in Mississippi in the 1960’s

  6. If they broke a law and were punished for doing so, I sincerely hope that law will not be repealed before the ALP is out of power because I’m certain that the pompous, vindictive, contemptuous, smutty, slutty, nasty, obnoxious, thiefing vermin will be caught in the fray and by then, Attley Rodney will have been already put out to pasture.

  7. Lets look at the USA with the prosecution of the January 6th rioters. Of course Trump and their political allies consider these people heroes. But we see how they are being dragged before the court and convicted one by one of breaking the law. (So Mr. Pompey is that a Travesty of Justice that is happening in the USA?)
So tell me is that wrong what is happening in the USA. I would think not. In fact I found that the Legal System in the USA was moving much to slow. But in the end many have been called to answer for their crimes. And the cases are far from done, cause they are going after the former President as well.
Anyone that promote lawlessness and disorder is not from God and is not for Peace and Tranquility in this land.
You may be against government policies but their are ways to express them. And breaking laws is not one of them. Antigua and Barbuda was under a state of emergency. They did not get permission to march and should have therefore not challenged the lawmen for upholding the law. And especially a former Police Commissioner as Mr. Pompey should know that and have appreciation for the job that his former colleague are faced with. Keeping Law and Order. Not playing politics.

    • Sideline mouth smells like a pile of pooop in a latrine. You can smell him from a mile away. Your mouth must be the opening to gaston toilet which his family sits on. You’re always taking crap which has nothing to do with the issue.
Antigua is not America. Your comparison is stupid at best! IDIOT!

  8. Well done ladies for standing up for your Human Rights to peacefully protest against the ABLP draconian measures on Teargas Sunday where
innocent children also got caught up in this geopolitical and global LOCKSTEP.

The net is slowly closing on the perpetrators (Pharmaceuticals, Health Minister’s, WHO, PAHO and the big financial backers), and as much as they continue to TRY and hide the truth and silence those medical experts and practitioners that knew something was amiss with the mRNA vaccines, that was causing heart issues with Myocarditis and Pericarditis, Strokes, Tinnitus, turbo cancers and even deaths – all highlighted in scientific facts, data and peer reviews from the silenced experts.

A WORLDWIDE CLASS ACTION CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH.

So pleased these ladies were acquitted on these trumped-up POLITICAL charges. Freedom! ✊🏾

  9. Former chef magistrate found guilty and was fiend to receive all her benefits what a backward country we live in

  10. From the sideline , breaking the law is breaking the law no matter what law it is and it is wrong that somebody break the law and gets rewarded with good and another person gets rewarded with bad ,but that’s how things goes in Antigua.

  11. And people like the now disgraced judge are the ones others think are deserving of maximum respect — just because they have a title. Hopefully, Antiguans are realizing that too many of those that are in high places are just common crooks with NO integrity/ character.
