Denroy Harrigan, a 58-year-old worker for Seaboard Marine Carib Seas, is in critical condition at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center (SLBMC) after a freak accident at the Deep Water Habour.
He got trapped between a truck and a container, sustaining serious injuries to his pelvic area and other body parts.
Harrigan underwent surgery last night and is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority’s General Manager, Dawin Telemaque, expressed deep sadness over the incident and plans to discuss the matter with shipping agents for potential operational adjustments.
