Four new cases of COVID-19

Dashboard Update for February 27, 2021)
Subsequent to the dashboard published on February 27th 2021, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment received additional test results from the Mount St. John Medical Centre which has revealed four (4) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday 26th February 2021 at 6pm.
Of the one hundred and forty-four (144) samples processed by MSJMC, one hundred and thirty-nine (139) were negative and five (5) positive. One (1) of the positive samples was a repeat test.
Ten (10) recoveries have been recorded bringing that total to three hundred and one (301).
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is seven hundred and thirty (730); which is inclusive of four hundred and fifteen (415) active cases.
Meanwhile, one hundred and seventy-five (175) samples are pending.
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. The UK has approximately 100 cases per 100,000 population. They are still in lockdown and thankfully numbers are reducing. If Antigua continues to allow planes, yachts and the people from those craft to arrive, Antiguans will suffer. The numbers are very high (over 400 per 100,000) and increasing. The government ought to close the borders and have a lockdown.
