Four new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Antigua and Barbuda

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed four new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Wednesday 6th January 2021 at 6pm.

 

Of the one hundred and sixteen processed by MSJMC, one hundred and fifteen were negative and one positive while of the nineteen processed by CARPHA, fifteen were negative and four positive. One of the positive samples was a repeat test.

 

Meanwhile one new recovery has been recorded bringing that total to one hundred and fifty.  Thirty-six samples are pending at MSJMC.

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one hundred and sixty-seven (167); which is inclusive of twelve (12) active cases.
