The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed four new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Monday 16th November 2020 at 6pm.

Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard on Monday 16th November 2020 with the cut off time of 6pm, twenty-four samples were processed at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center’s Laboratory and thirty-one by CARPHA which increased the pending results to fifty-five.

All twenty-four samples processed by MSJMC yielded negative results and are reflected in the total samples taken and total tested columns of the dashboard.

Of the thirty-one samples processed by CARPHA, twenty-six are negative and five positive. One of the positive cases was a repeat test.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one hundred and thirty-eight (138) with seven (7) active cases.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. Since there were 79 imported cases last dashboard, the 81 shown above means 2 of the 4 are imported. The non imported last dashboard was 55

  2. Since they aren’t testing or quarantining the thousands of tourists they let in every month.

And are apparently also not quarantining other people when they don’t feel like it either.

Mia Mottley is looking like a genius at this point

    • Mia & Barbados have got this covid thing down to an art. They are testing everyone arriving into the island twice and smoking out covid wherever it may hide. No chance for community spread. Superstars!! The nincompoops we have here are completely incapable of testing anyone arriving into the country. It will not likely have a good ending.

      • And it appears TPTB are too prideful to admit their methods are not working and change course.

They could follow the Barbados model and protect lives

  3. If anyone can follow these deliberately confusing reports good luck to them. My question is, are any of these latest cases related to the imported worker who unfortunately died?

    • Totally agree Barbados indeed looking more and more like they knew what they were doing . I’m no Gaston basher but he comes across arrogant at times and his choice of words is Trumpe. These are Prime Minsters in their respective countries and they don’t have to listen to you. Even I myself tired of the BS .

  4. “NOT SO COMMON “EXCELLENT POINTS and COMMENTS .TWO CHEERS AND A KEG OF BEERS TO YOU .been saying that for long

  5. So A&B with 4 deaths per 100K is a “whole” lot worse than Bdos with 2.4 deaths per 100K according to the “geniuses” in this post and that makes Mia a genius?

Therefore by that logic since A&B’s death rate is lower than over 100 countries and in some cases by a factor of 10, 20 and sometimes even higher, then Gaston must also be one hell of a genius!!!

Or the logic comparing Gaston to Mia and calling her a genius is not quite logical when applied that way?

  6. CASES do not equal deaths.
Covid-19 has a 99%+ survival rate depending on your age and health.
PCR testing is a sham to pump up the ‘case’ numbers.
It is not the virus… it is the FEAR that is spreading.
