The sudden shutdown of Watchman Spy Services has plunged four ex-workers into a financial quagmire, with unpaid severance and vacation pay totaling around $20,000.
Despite available funds, one of the former co-owners, Sean O’Neil, has resisted settling the dues, causing tension with the Antigua and Barbuda Free Trade Union.
Union President Samuel James has urged O’Neil to endorse the outstanding payments. The feud escalated, with potential legal action on the horizon.
Authorities like the Prime Minister, the Attorney General, the Police Service Commission, and the Labour Commissioner have received complaints.
O’Neil’s comments are channeled through legal representation, prolonging the dispute.(Observer)
