  1. Oh please. With all the crime in this country? This is how they treat an elderly statesman? Absolute nonsense!

  2. He who doesn’t want to hear will pay.
And that for a former Prime Minister.
What was he there for anyway? To give support to Shuggy? Or just to be seen?

    • How dare your bloated arse, asking why he was there. To support Shuggy who would be sending that bloated gal home for good. She is as lazy as they come. Was it her father who left Antigua disguised as a woman for England.I wondered why that happened. Please tell me why Sidelines or Nineman.

      • @Wanna Bee….. No, it was not her father. That was your father, Donald Halstead. At the time, he was a member of the PLM and a former minister. When he heard George Walter got arrested, he put on a Medea act and skipped town.

        • @Bolans Vere:Why you do not ask Samantha? She should know that of which I asked. No it was not Donald Halstead.I do know that for a fact. For when her father came back from England with her mother and the children. He entered the political sphere with the ALP. HE then became the butt of all jokes by the PLM.He left Antigua Coolidge Airport, disguised as a woman on BOAC.

    • FTS, Baldwin is there because unlike your God, Gaston Browne, he can go anywhere without bodyguards

      • I didn’t see that when he was Prime Minister. He did not even drive himself anymore. And don’t forget when he went on a state visit to India one of his bodyguards was arrested for not having declared that he has a gun. You guys like to lie too much. Spencer never went shopping by himself. Our Prime Minister Gaston Browne can be seen everywhere in supermarkets shopping either by himself or with his little daughter. And when he goes out in his constituency, he is always by himself. Although the protocols dictates that he has security.

  3. Oh lord jack the judge should of given him a break Mr. Spencer is aging and getting a little slow. It’s a strong possibility he thought he put the phone on silent or vibrate but had a pressy finger moment and set the phone back to ring in error..If he’s using an Iphone he has no excuse as there is a silent mode switch on the side..

    • If your God can have Alex Saab Moràn as a friend, then John Ashe can be friend with Mr. Spencer. Odebretch is never going away

  4. THE COURT ACTED UNLAWFULLY IN ISSUING A FINE WITHOUT DUE PROCESS.

THE MAGISTRATE MUST KNOW THAT ONE IS PRESUME INNOCENT UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.

HON SPENCER MUST CHALLENGE THIS UNLAWFUL FINE.

    • @Melchesidec…. Useful idiot! He admitted that his phone went off and so was held in contempt of court. He was fined for his contempt. “Admitting to it, he faced the penalty from an visibly displeased Judge Drysdale.” He admitted guilt and so cannot now challenge. Go learn some basic law, you goon!

      • The judge CANNOT LAWFULLY accuse and administrate the said matter, it is called a CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

Because Hon Spencer acquiesce because he does not know his rights does not make it LAWFUL.

The judge acted UNLAWFULLY. There is no legislation that is beyond the constitution.

        Innocent until proven guilty.

        No insults just education.

  5. Judge Drysdale woulda give Gassssston a medal 🥉and rename the country after he!

    Me ah tell you 🤣🤣🤣

  6. The police can make lots of money if they target drivers that are constantly on their cellphone while driving. And many are not even hiding it. You would think that smartphones do not have speaker options or blue tooth earpieces.
Perhaps they need to reward the traffic officers and let them get part of the fines with their monthly salary. That would motivate them to do their job.

  7. I am a big fan of the former PM. Hon Baldwin however, this is standard and anyone that violate must pay.

  8. Clearly you didnt read the part abt him Admitting it was him.. You shld probably go back to law school

    • The judge CANNOT LAWFULLY accuse and administrate the same matter, it is called a CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

Because it is an everyday occurrence does not make it LAWFUL.

The police should have investigated collect the evidence and present the evidence to the magistrate court and allow due process to take its course.

The ABLP will continue to do as they please because the citizenry DO NOT KNOW their right so they continue to acquiesce.

Acquiescence without full disclosure from the other party is NULL AND VOID. Contract Law

    • @MP Law school does not teach law. Law school teaches legalese. Go find out what that is and pick up a Black’s Law Dictionary while you are it.
If you are interested in Law read your Bible.

  9. This is why I maintain there is no separation
    of powers.
Where an offence took place is it not the duty of the police to investigate?
How can a judge accuse, investigate, and adjudicate on an offense?

We see the very thing happening in the administration of the country.

No separation of powers. Cabinet decides, Cabinet agrees,(parliament), the senate majority agrees, the GG appointed by the Cabinet assent. Done deal where is the separation in that?

  10. Why is it some people are so dotish and they don’t even bother hiding it.
Everyone should know that in a courtroom the judge is all powerful. He/She sets the rules. If you do not agree with her ruling you file an appeal to the appeals court or to the judiciary commission. But the judge can even order the bail-lift to take you straight to prison is she wanted to. She did warn people about having their phone on and the consequences. What this has to do with separation of powers beats me. But that’s it. We have many dunce elements in the UPP camp. And no matter what you cannot change that.
Thank God, He spared up from them being elected to run the affairs of this country again. It would have been a big disaster.

    • @From the Sideline

Again because something happens daily does not make it LAWFUL….many years ago I discovered that “practice does not make perfect” on the contrary only perfect practice can make perfect.

The Judge is NOT ALL POWERFUL that is an illusion that people acquiesce too. The Judge is a facilitator. A Jury is ALL POWERFUL.

NO JUDGE SHOULD DECIDE ON GUILT. It is the responsibility of a jury.

The court system today is a mockery and is being used as a revenue center for the corporation. It contributes 100s of million to the treasury annually but is never mentioned, why?

If you are desirous of knowing the intent and how now a day’s systems should work go back to their origin. From the Sideline you will be amazed how little you know about any of the corporation structures to do.

      • @Melchesidec…. You really foolish, eh. If you think Baldwin right all you need to do is go in the court and and make your phone ring out. When the judge hold you in contempt and fine you, don’t pay. Stand up and tell the judge that he committing an unlawful act to hold you in contempt and fine you. Then come and report what happen next.

All over the world is it is established that the judge is lord of the courtroom, but you here braying like a jackass in heat trying to prove that you bright.

        • The constitution states that no one is above the the law, all are equal under the constitution including Judges.

Did he get an opportunity to seek legal counsel?
          Which statute did he infringed?
Name the section of the act that created the offense and penalty?

What the Judge did was arbitrary and UNLAWFUL.
THE Judge presided over his own matter,

It matters not where it happens might does not mean right.

You will not understand, but surely the Judge KNOWS..

      • @Melchesidec July 4, 2023 At 12:54 pm
“The Judge is NOT ALL POWERFUL that is an illusion that people acquiesce too. The Judge is a facilitator. A Jury is ALL POWERFUL.”
It is not in all cases that you have a jury. It’s only in criminal cases. This is a case of LAW. The Jury cannot decide on cases of LAW. They have not studied the LAW. It’s not about evidence presented.
You really baffle me. Please stop showing your ignorance.
And even when you have a case where the Jury provide the verdict, it is the judge that them give the sentence. And the judge instructs the jury what to take and what not to take into their deliberations.
You are really tiring me. Pfffffffffff.

    • Aa per FROM THE SIDELINE-” many dunce elements in the UPP camp.”
Well, whose camp is GERRY WATTS in?

    • @sidelines:Is Gerry Watt, dotish? Having 15 degrees does not mean he/she is smart or bright.

      • Tell me about it. Doesn’t Baldwin Spencer have two doctorate degrees 🙁
Can’t be any brighter than that one would say. Yet he could not read a large number in Parliament.
By the way, can someone tell me if Mr. Baldwin Spencer paid to the Treasure the $1million that was awarded to the state for him taking the government to the Privy Council over the Dato Tan deal regarding Guiana Island.
If one thing I’m disappointed in the PM is his refusal to disclose this. But something tells me that Baldwin never paid the Treasury that amount. And politicians are covering up for each other.

  11. HE CAN MORE THAN AFFORD $500 according to UPP-appointed ambassador Ashe

Spencer is reported to have received two separate payments of US$170,000 and US$100,000, from Dr Ashe.

The United Progressive Party (UPP), which Spencer once headed, and in whose administration he served as Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, acknowledged receiving monies that had been donated by former ambassador Dr John Ashe.
