Former Police Commissioner Edric Potter Passes Away
St John’s, Antigua – Former Commissioner of Police Edric Potter has passed away, the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has confirmed.
Acting Commissioner of Police Everton Jeffers expressed condolences to Potter’s family on behalf of the force, stating that they will be reaching out to offer their support during this difficult time.
“We would like to take this opportunity to express our condolences to his family,” Jeffers said during a press briefing on Thursday. “We will be making contact with them as soon as possible to sit down and arrange for his final resting.”
Potter served in the police force for several years, holding the highest rank of Commissioner before his retirement. His tenure was marked by efforts to modernize the force and strengthen crime-fighting measures.
More details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
