Former Observer radio employee drowns in Barbados

A former Observer media technician has drowned in Barbados in the act of saving his wife’s life.

Reports are that 45 year old Grenadian Rollin Ivor Jeremiah Williams drowned at Brandon’s beach, St Michael’s.

Police report that the husband and wife, who both lived and worked in Antigua for many years, were at the beach at 7:45am.

At some point, the wife, Carol Williams, got into difficulty in the water and Rollin went to her aid. Though he was able to save her life, he too begun to have difficulties and was later pulled from the water lifeless.

Police continue their investigations into the unnatural death.

  1. WOW! This is sad and very unfortunate. He was able to save his wife’s life, but lost his in the process. How will she handle this ironic tragedy? I pray that she finds the strength along with his family and friends. May the great memories you have of him take precedence over your grief.
