Former Nurse Fined $55,000 for Covid-19 Vaccination Card Fraud

29

Former healthcare worker Jahmesha Millwood from Bolans faces significant fines after admitting to falsifying nearly two dozen Covid-19 vaccination cards and stealing blank immunization certificates.

Exploiting a 2021 digital system glitch, Millwood unlawfully authenticated vaccinations, a role reserved for administering medical staff.

In court yesterday, Justice Tunde Bakre ordered her to pay $50,000 for the falsifications and $5,000 for theft. She must pay $25,000 by year’s end, with monthly installments of $5,000 thereafter.

Non-payment will result in a one-year prison sentence.

  1. After saving so many lives the lady still going to jail. That payment plan was set up to ensure that she fails, $25,000 by year end, plus $5000 a month, that’s 2 months salary for some wow. I would just do my 8 months in jail and done.

  2. I would just do my year in prison, which is about 9 months in jail. And have someone stack me up with food stuff while i do my time which will come to about $5000.

  3. I hope she find it 5000 a month is alot a money all those she help saves there lives they should help her pay it because if not for her a whole lot would a die

  4. Hope all who she help will help her pay it though she did it wrongly in the eyes of the law in the ppl she did a right thing this why the cemetery full because lot a ppl died in covid

  5. I am now looking forward to our own Health Minister Molwyn ‘AstraZeneca’ Joseph to be brought to justice as well.

Here we have an Antiguan nurse who “technically” – however you look at it – saved lives, though in the eyes of the law has been found guilty; and yet we have a Health Minister who who more than contributed to the dire consequences of the implementation and distribution of the Covid-19 so-called vaccines, that went onto compromise our immune systems, Myocarditis; Pericarditis; heart attacks: Bells palsy; strokes; turbo cancers as well as other AstraZeneca related causes.

Now tell me that Molwyn Joseph shouldn’t also be held to account.

Never forgive and never forget that WE the brave – and ever discerning – unvaccinated were vilified, locked out from our own country, and forced to wear bracelets on our return by this unaccountable and devilish Minister.

THE GOOD NEWS THOUGH, IS THE NET IS CLOSING ON THIS EVIL …

  6. Rules are rules and they are made to be adhere to, regardless you are in agreement or not. If the laws or rules are violated then there must be a consequence of punishment.

  7. It’s true this payment plan is impossible for this woman. It was not the theft of money from someone or a company or even government itself. She is bound to go to the jail early next year for this. In addition she has other charges to face to include credit card theft and forgery. So just enjoy the Christmas and prepared to serve

  8. That fine seems truly unreasonable and disproportionate. The worse part of the crime is the stealing from the government and the lesser is agreeing with her customers to make such documents for their benefit, which they know is false/invalid. Yes, there is a negative impact on the medical industry. She accepted responsibility, lost her job (I assume), wasn’t getting proper pay in the first place.

I would have fined her $10,000 to $20,000. I would appeal that fine, ask for a stay on judgment and appeal. Or first file a motion to reconsider the judgment/order.

  9. I agree with you @ Bluddy Bloke (for once), and many of us are also looking forward to the Health Minister Molwyn Joseph being held to account as well, instead of nurse Millwood being made a political scapegoat or sacrificial lamb by being thrown under the ABLP bus. Fact!

  10. I hope she can appeal this fine. It is extraordinarily stiff and geared for failure and her incarceration. Twenty five thousand dollars by year’s end is tough enough, five thousand monthly thereafter is more than some peoples monthly salary and would prove extremely burdensome and challenging to her. I really hope that friends and colleagues can launch an appeal in order to raise some funds to assist her. This is an excellent nurse who made a big mistake and our system of justice is demonizing and penalizing her for life.

    • you can help her pay. all that money you claim the Dominican woman fleeced from you. You must be filthy rich for real. Put ya money where ya mouth is!

  11. Some of the persons that feels different from the court and start a go fund me to pay fine they are so caring and loving so supportive and justifies their support by condemning the court and that she did nothing wrong what a fine group of people and citizens instead of pleading for Mercy from the court as a group or forming themselves into an organization to that cause naa they have big empty mouths and plenty chat if you can’t help shut up !

  12. Let’s wait a few months.
The US will withdraw from the WHO it’s now official. Fauci will prolly go to jail, etc.
Soon she will be able to sue the schnooks that fined here and made her loose her job.

  13. Leave the Health Minister alone he has nothing to do with this, dam if he did damn if he don’t stop cursing the man he is a good christian man that is upright and blessed so take that in your bosom people must be held responsible for their bad decisions and actions and he is a principled man she erred he did not whisper in her ears to do wrong always finding someone else to blame and leaving the culprit to get away

  14. I am I read this good she was fined $55,000 but someone got caught with a gun pays $10,000 are in prison for 6 months .something is really wrong

  15. This is madness. Is no one going to ask the question why there were so many people looking to pay this woman to avoid a supposedly harmless injection to protect themselves from a deadly disease? They had to withdraw some of these vaccines due to safety concerns. Even on its FDA application Pfizer listed 8 pages of side effects observed during the trial. I know multiple persons that just magically developed cancer again after they were in remission…right after taking the vaccine. Yes she was wrong, but they shouldn’t have hit her this hard.

  16. It only takes 55,000 people to donate $1.00 and save this nurse. I’m humbly calling on Antigua’s most popular social media influencer to begin this fund drive to save this nurse…Let’s go!

  17. @ Damn if we do and damn if we don’t; it’s people like you (and sadly there are so many) that give this government carte blanche to do whatever they want to Antiguans without any comeback whatsoever.

Try to discern sometime without saying that the Health Minister is exempt from criticism because as you say “he is a good Christian man…”???

    HOW YOU KNOW THAT?

May I suggest to you that his actions during the Covid-19 pandemic doesn’t suggest “good” or “Christian”

GET AH GRIP NAH, ANTIGUANS DIED!!!

  18. God save this nation from HYPOCRISY …come on man many has done worse, and still wearing a crown…and to deal with the young lady the way the court does, is a shame…

  19. ABLP and their dishonest numerous men ask for stiffer, unconstitutional, and unreasonable punishment and putting folks in false light, so here it is? Say thank you to ABLP NUMEROUS MEN (You get it?).

  20. At the end of the day what she did was unethical as a nurse. If she gave the cards for free then I would say that she was helping… but the truth is that she WAS PAID for the cards and she CHARGED persons to issue the fake vaccine cards. So at the end of the day she was also pocketing money from doing the so called “helping or saving people”. When you are a professional certain lines must not be crossed and she crossed it….

  21. the names of the persons who bought the cards need to be looked into, so they can be charged…the alleged pilots, nurses, hotel workers, teachers and entertainers…for fraud!!!

  22. This woman is no saint she is a big big crook and has two more charges for cheque fraud! So please investigate you bleeding hearts!

  23. I agree with everyone she has done wrong, an illegal action. Where I disagree is the level of punishment. I believe $55,000 is disproportionate and unconstitutional. It should be around $10,000 to $20,000. Taking away profits and serving as punishment.

  24. SHE MUSSA MEK WAN NICE CHANGE OFF A DEM FOOLS!!! that is why she was fine that amount.

  25. Two wrongs make a right when it comes to a vaccine scheme. The government is responsible for this it was an act of self defense.
