Former media practitioner Debbie Francis has died.

Francis worked for many years as a reporter at state television ABS.

At the time of her passing, she was employed at the Ministry of Agriculture in public relations.

Agriculture Minister Samantha Marshall paid tribute to Debbie.

I know I should not ask Why? But I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye…. I will certainly miss you Debbie Francis always there telling me “ Minister …. Come on let’s do this …. Yes Minister !!!” May your inspiring and cheerful soul rest in eternal peace

Senator Shawn Nicholas said:

“This is a real shocker. “Debs” was a great soul. A true team player and always a peacemaker. She shied away from anything that was controversial and always sought to find a common ground.

I will remember fondly our days in the ABS newsroom. Her spirited arguments as we discussed current topics or news leads and how they should be handled.”

Sincere condolences to her entire family, especially her daughter Rocquelle, who was an ABS baby.🖤🖤

  1. Oh my gosh. It was just this morning I sent out a greeting to her on WhatsApp not knowing. Oh dear, what sadness. Condolences to the entire family. Debbie and I worked together at ABS. I was there during her earliest years. She was always a jovial spirit. My heart is crushed.

    • Where does this come in with regards to this lady’s death? You all need to stop. Let the people mourn in peace.

      • Totally agree with you on this. We need to stop the fractionalizing, especially in moments like this. Allow her family and her loved ones and friends the serenity to peacefully grieve our loss.

    • Although some may say your comment is inappropriate- it’s not. Too many people are dying suspiciously- something is amiss. This is not time for secrets, questions need to be asked and answers given. People are dropping Like flies. It’s ridiculous. Wake to f up people..   4. Condolences to the family, I remember once I saw her exercising by walking home from town and I stopped to say hi and Debbie being Debbie got into the vehicle and said that she was really walking for the exercise but was happy for the ride.

  5. I do not know any of the ladies that died in the past month. However,it would appear that within that time Antigua and Barbuda and the rest of us have lost some really nice young Ladies. May all of their Souls Rest In Peace.
