8

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda advises that any foreign national (including passengers and crew) who has travelled to China, Italy, Iran, Japan, Korea, and Singapore within the past twenty-eight (28) days will be denied entry.

This decision is concluded upon consideration given to the alarming increase in the number of persons testing positive for the COVID-19 virus in recent weeks.

However, citizens of Antigua and Barbuda as well as resident diplomats will be allowed entry.
All airlines are kindly asked to provide advance passenger information of the scheduled arrival of citizens in order to facilitate the necessary quarantine.

  1. Airlines manifest always given in a good time period before the planes departure or arrive, so that would not be a problem in finding out if Antiguans and Barbudans are on these flights returning home. Maybe the person who is/are responsible in receiving these manifests are efficient enough in getting the information to right officials/authorities.

    • Facts!!!! Singapore is not even in the top 30 countries with confirmed cases. France US and UK are 7,8 and 10 respectively. Antiguan lives are being Risked for a few dollars.

  2. Is this for real? What kinda advanced diplomatic formula was used in this calculation?

Ok, China, Italy, Iran and S. Korea are in the top 6 countries with the COVID-19 but how come we reach to Japan #17 and Singapore #29 and skip all those countries in between like Spain #4. Singapore has not even recorded 1 death.

Need a little help with the maths. If. We afraid of close off those countries in between, then let’s not make it that obvious.

  3. Was this information shared with the airlines so they do not accept these passengers in the first place?

I hope this will not be a secret well kept from major travel agencies also.

This info should be know before the passengers deplane. Passengers should only be allowed to disembarked a vessel after proper due diligence is completed. This is the only criteria that would make that decision plausible.

Imagine the passengers disembarked travel through the jet bridge come in contact with new individuals along the way present to the immigration officer to discover the passenger was in italy. Now what? After all the contamination you deny them entry……hmmmmmm think think think
