Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene has praised outgoing Chinese Ambassador H.E. Zhang Yanling as “a true friend of Antigua and Barbuda” and “a dedicated architect of stronger bilateral cooperation.”
Speaking at her farewell reception on Monday, Greene highlighted her four-year tenure, noting her contributions to technical cooperation, educational exchanges, and cultural diplomacy.
“For the past four years, Ambassador Zhang has not just been the head of the Chinese Mission,” he said. “She has been a partner, a friend, and a builder of bridges between our peoples.”
Greene presented Zhang with a gift symbolising “friendship that transcends time and borders.”
