Five new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Antigua and Barbuda

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. Johns Medical Centre (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has revealed five (5)  new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday 24th April 2021 at 6pm.

 

These new cases were as a result of one hundred and eighty-seven (187) samples processed by MSJMC and twenty (20) processed by CARPHA.

 

Twelve (12) recovered cases have been recorded bringing the total to one thousand and fourteen (1014).

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand two hundred and thirty-two (1232); which is inclusive of one hundred and eighty-seven (187) active cases.

 

Of these active cases, eight (8) are hospitalized with one (1) being considered severe, one (1) moderate and six (6) mild.

 

Meanwhile, one hundred and sixty-seven (167) vaccines were administered since the last publication increasing the total number of individuals vaccinated to thirty thousand and sixty-seven (30,067).

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
