It was a bustling day at St John’s Harbour as five cruise ships berthed simultaneously — a sight described by port officials as a “milestone moment” for Antigua & Barbuda’s tourism sector.
The Antigua Cruise Port said thousands of passengers arrived aboard the vessels, marking one of the busiest days of the 2025–26 cruise season. The ships lined the harbour in what officials called a showcase of “Caribbean hospitality at its finest.”
Port managers said the arrivals highlight the country’s continued appeal as a leading destination for cruise travel, noting that the day’s success reflects ongoing investments in visitor experience and infrastructure.
Tourism officials added that the influx of visitors provided a welcome boost for local businesses in the capital, where guests spent the day exploring shops, heritage sites, and nearby beaches.
The Antigua Cruise Port described the scene as “a breathtaking sight across St John’s Harbour” and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high standards of service and sustainability as the season progresses.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. I witnessed this as well. Wow! I hope our many visitors purchased items from the locals as well. Nice up the area 👍🏾
Yet still no revenue was made to significantly impact the economy.
How do you know this? Did you do a SURVEY?
Many cruise passengers are on a shoe string budget. Therefore their spending habits are always budgeted out all the way back to their doorsteps.
The hustle and bustle do make for great scenery though.
WONDERFUL NEWS!!!! #NextLevel
Is the Logos Hope considered a cruise ship? If not, then there was actually 4 cruise ships and not 5, as it reported here.
Four cruise ships in a day is still a lot any way one looks at it.
They go all over the Caribbean and does the same, but more so in the Bahamas 6 and more cruise ship docked with a traffic jam line on the sea for space to dock on like a traffic line, even though they are different cruise ship at multiple islands in the Bahamas which is said to have 700 islands, and the Bahamian government gives a beach near the dock to local entrepreneurship with bathroom facility, the people build their bars and restaurants, and the tourist foot walk there and dance and eat all day, froggies is pack daily with tourist gyrating and eating some a the most sumptuous meals, so the money goes into the economy, in antigua now the backra bourgeois Caucasian people control the tourism product, a smoke shop at heritage quay is owned by moodie Stuart grandson, and tourism department work with the Fernandez family to have tourist go by his brothers small bar at the top of Viv Richards street, there isn’t this synergy or efforts by our government for indigenous African descendants, king progress had vacate the airport after upp built the new one when ALP got into office, and in opposition to the upp Baldwin Spencer administration push to have local shops and restaurants at the airport.
If only we had the empowerment like I see the Bahamian government do for their people.
Looks like they counting the Logos hope but they didn’t treat it as well as cruise ship. I hear they turned locals back during the day because cruise ship is in port. Then we complain that Antigua is not a reading public.
