Five active cases of COVID-19 in Antigua and Barbuda

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) has revealed no new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday 12th December 2020 at 6pm.

Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard on Saturday 12th December 2020 with the cut off time of 6pm, eighty-six samples were processed at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center which increased the pending results from zero to eighty-six.

Of the eighty-six samples processed by MSJMC, eighty-five were negative and one repeat positive.  The results are reflected in the total samples taken and total tested columns of the dashboard.  

Meanwhile, a forty-six-year-old female who was previously confirmed with COVID-19 died at MSJMC today, December 13, 2020.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda remains at one hundred and forty-eight (148); which is inclusive of six (6) active cases.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect the recent death and will be further updated when information for December 14th 2020 is received.

  1. I this dashboard should not be dated Dec 15, since there is only information up through Dec 13. Dates on dashboard should reflect the time of updated info not publication date as there’s always a lag.

  2. Only 5 ACTIVE CASES of Covid-19 in Antigua? How do you know of that. Because the Government tells us so.If you do believed that.Then I have some ocean front property to sell you in the Greencastle area.

  3. From my knowledge we have 1 imported case that resulted in death. Why is the dashboard now saying 2. That lady is an Antiguan that lives here, so where does the importation come from?

    In addition there are two yacht workers from English harbor that were been hospitalized for covid one was recently released and the other remains in the hospital. Why is it we weren’t informed of that?

    This government needs to be transparent and not put $$$$ before life…..
